Publication date: January 19, 2011

Product innovation has led to a 25 percent reduction in the use of packaging material, such as sleeves, labels and outer packaging cartons.

Up to 75 percent more Perfect Foam in the same packaging. This means: covering bigger areas, plugging more gaps and hollow spaces, more filling and insulation than before. The volume of packaging waste per meter of sealant has fallen sharply. Tremco illbruck also developed a cap to facilitate precise dosing at the most awkward angles. Product loss is limited to a minimum.

The parent company ordered that each new product that replaces an existing product must be greener than its predecessor. The new product must contain no or fewer harmful substances, must be more efficient to use, or have lighter packaging. These measures are estimated to reduce the use of packaging material by 25 percent. This concerns sleeves, labels and outer packaging cartons. The distributor thus holds less stock and fewer transport movements are required for the same amount of product.
